Six. 6.

If  I could write a letter to my baby brother (who isn't so much a baby anymore), and who is turning six today, it would go something like this:
Dear Brady,
First I want to start by saying I Love You so much!! You've really come a long way. This year has been very big for you. You started Kindergarten this year! We were all really nervous, but you seem to be doing well (as long as you behave yourself) When people come up to me who haven't seen you for a while, they always say something like this, "Wow! That's Brady?!  I remember when he was just a baby." Well, right now I'm thinking the same thing. I remember the day that you were born the best out of anyone's birthday (even Blake and Ava's). I was 7 years old. After 3 sisters, I really wanted a little brother. Finally, I knew I was going to have one! I was so excited! Dad woke me up around 7am saying that Mom was going to the hospital. I was really nervous. Sometime later, you came into the world.
I remember how tiny you were (you still are tiny). Your little toes, your little fingers. You were so small! But I loved you right away.
As you got older, and got onrey, you stared to get on my nerves. But I still loved you. You got into so much, but you were just so innocent. I remember when you peed on the dog, when you opened child-proof lids, when you ate a steul softner, when you smashed peaches into the brand new carpet...but somehow, you're still here!
I've always thought about writing a book about you. It would be very interesting.
Turning six is a big deal. It can be hard because you can't do as much as your older sisters can, but now you're tall enough to ride all the rides at Del Grosso Park!
You may get on my nerves Brady, but just remember how special you are to me(: I love you soo much!
Love,

Lauren<3

Hail or Golf Balls?

I hope I'm not the only one that found Thursday pretty scary. It's the 2nd tornado warning this year! What's going on? We've never had weather like this before!
Brady was suppose to have his baseball game and was all dressed for it. Mom, Dad, and Brady got to the field (Ashley, Breanna, and I were at dance) and it started to look really black and started hailing! Obviously, Brady didn't have his game. It's a good thing they got those little baseball players out of there in time!

While the baseball players were being evacuated from the field, Mom came in to get us from dance because our studio is only 1 story, and 2 rooms; both covered in windows. The only safe place would be the tiny bathroom. So Mom came and asked Miss Samantha if she knew there was a tornado warning. We all had no idea of course. No one casually takes the time to check the weather while dancing. So Breanna, Ashley, me, and Christina( my dance friend) all headed home and to the basemet. Dad stayed upstairs of course ( cause he's nuts). Hail the size of golf balls fell from the sky!

So after it was all over, there was no tornado, Christina went home safely, and our yard looked like this

I hope this is the last of the crazy weather.

Skipping School(:

So today we decided to skip school!! (Just kidding, I would get killed if i ever skipped school!) But my music teacher, Mr. Eshleman, took the Showstoppers (or show choir) on our "tour" of our school district schools to perform. On the way there I sat with one of my good friends, Emily and sang random songs the whole way there!
When I got to the FCLC, I was touched by the kids there. They have so much to be upset about, but they're all so happy(:. It's truly amazing. I hope to go back there soon.
We stopped at McDonald' for lunch, where Kayla, ( my good friend) and I "stole" a milkshake. We asked for one milkshake for us both to share, but recieved two. So being the crazy girls that we are, we didn't do the "right" thing and give back our other milkshake. We're such outlaws(:.
Also while at McDonald's, Luke ( another friend) and I managed to almost get ourselves run over by an impatient, drive-thru guy. WARNING: don't step out in front of people in cars who are hungary!
Also while on our way to McDonald's, we saw a shirtless, 40 year old man who was painting the roof of Starbucks Coffee and not thinking twice, yelled out the window saying, "HEY! HOW ARE YOU?!"
After McDonalds, Mr. Eshleman decided to take us to the park, to get our enery out and let us "be able to speak at full volume". While there, Kayla, Payton (yet another friend), Emily, Luke, and I managed to fall down the slide, and get stuck in play equipment. We also realzied how small everything is compared to when we were 5 and only about 3ft high.
So, I figured that our whole life shouldn't be spent acting like teenagers but for now, let's enjoy it(:

Note: most of the photos were taken at the park.

Chickens and Mariachi Music

Baby chicks! Left to Right: Egghead(Brady's),
Omlet (mine), Victoria(Ashley's) and
Frisky (Breanna's).
Today was another interesting day. For a school project, my Mom brought my chicken to school today. She was not very happy about being put into a box and be driven to a school for tons of 7th graders to touch her. While I was holding her and giving my speech, I kept feeling warm droplets on my hand. Great!  I thought. And sure enough, when I put her down, my han was covered in poop. My teacher asked to pet her and while petting her, said "Wow! Her fur is really soft."
In my head I was thinking, "It's a chicken genius, they have feathers, not fur!"
Later, after I got home from school, my mom asked me an odd question,
"Can you put mariachi music onto a CD for me, for the 2nd graders?"
more babies!
(My mom teaches Spanish for Ashley's 2nd grade class) "Sure.." I said.
Surprisingly, hispanic music is very fascinating and somewhat catchy(:

Brady loves the chickens.

Not Focused

My Dad is always telling Brady to stay focused, whether it be baseball, soccer, football, being in church, anything! But today it was very funny. My Dad was talking to Brady about focusing on 2nd base when he plays baseball. But of course, Brady wasn't payting attention at all. So while my Dad is giving my 5 year-old brother a lecture, Brady goes,
"Hey Dad, watch this." *spits ice out of his mouth and into his cup*.
My Mom and I laughed because no matter what you do...you can't get a 5 year-old to focus on something for long. My Dad's just gonna have to face it(:

Day of Dance

About 10 years ago when I first started!
Today was an interesting day! On our way to a dance competition, we
ran into a conestoga wagon(in a parade), and cows crossing the road!!
When we finally got to Hancock High School for our compeition, my partners Christina, Brittany, and I got ready to do our trio to "Frozen". We hadn't practiced all week so we were nervous. As the annoucer called out our names and song, we were really nervous!! But we performed the dance with smiles and did really great!
"I'm not gonna let you three practice anymore" said Miss Samantha, our dance instructor.
Me and Christina's next dance was "Dynamite". It didn't go as well with a few mess ups.
We ended up taking home 2 2nd place plaques and medals. It was a great day(:

Me and Christina. Best dance friends for life!!

This years dance team(:
